The Audit Cycle
The application and audit cycle for achieving and maintaining Kitemark is highlighted below
Application
- Application – Your initial application to BSI
- BSI Stage One Audit – A preliminary audit used primarily as an exchange of views to establish the companies readiness for final stage two audit. Depending on the outcome of this audit a decision may be made to defer the stage two audit by a short time to allow more preparation
- BSI Stage Two Audit – Final BSI audit. Successful completion of this results in the issue of your kitemark certificate and allows printing of Kitemark on your delivery tickets. At this point you can batch all designated mixes listed within table 6 of BS8500: Part2
Audit Cycle
- Annual Surveillance Audit – This is your annual BSI Kitemark audit when all aspects of your quality system and compliance with BS8500 are assessed
- Three Yearly Technical records Audit – A three yearly audit with a BSI Technical Expert to establish that all required technical data and basic relationship data are being properly maintained
