9001 Requirement

In addition to the basic Kitemark requirement of compliance with BS 8500-1:2015+A2:2019 and BS EN 206:2013+A1:2016 you will also need to run a management system complying with BS EN ISO 9001:2015

This is the non technical part of Kitemark which requires that suppliers supply concrete conforming to BS EN 206 and BS 8500-2 “under a Quality Management System complying with ISO 9001”

You do not need to hold separate ISO 9001 accreditation to meet this requirement however as part of the Kitemark audit where you are assessed against BS8500 and BS EN206 you are also asked to demonstrate that you run a quality management scheme which meets the requirements of ISO 9001.
