Complaint Investigation

Part of the requirement for Kitemark is to maintain an internal ncr and complaint register. Complaints require to be fully investigated and reported and this will be scrutinised by BSI at your annual surveillance audit. This will normally involve checking and reporting of any available test data on compressive strength, slump, yield etc.

As part of the Dascon service we can maintain these registers for you and present any customer complaints in a reportable format complete with documented resolutions and costs for scrutiny at audit

From time to time more serious complaints occur which may lead to dispute involving potential costs. Dascon can give advice on how to deal with this and we can also visit site and write reports for clients on your behalf. In most cases complaints complicated by factors such as:

  • Poor site curing of concrete
  • Poor finishing
  • Weather conditions on pour date
  • Incorrect mix specification

Dascon can examine the concrete and taking all environmental factors into account we can produce a report on your behalf explaining the factors behind the customers complaint, who is at fault and how to resolve the situation
