Technical Records Audit
Every 3 years as part of Kitemark ongoing surveilance you will be require to undergo a full technical records audit conducted by a BSI Technical Expert. Dascon will maintain these records for you and can deal with this aspect on your behalf
The technical records audit looks in detail at your basic relationship and the way in which it is performing based on your cusum compressive strength and other associated data. You are required to do a re-validation on your basic relationship every three year period in order to justify that the figures you are using to batch your concrete meet the requirements for yeild and strength. This usually takes the form of a set of laboratory trials in the third year to confirm figures. Admixture suppliers will frequently agree to carry out the trials on your behalf in return for their business
Other items covered in the 3 year audit are evidence of records for the following:

- Grading and flakiness data on source aggregates
- Physical and chemical properties for raw materials
- Petrographic analysis of aggregates
- CE Certification of Aggregates
- Cement powder test results and analysis
- Admixtures
- Water source data
- Compressive Strength Reporting(Cusum)
- Sampling conformity(standard and air entrained)
- Slump conformity
- Risks to concrete including ASR, chloride and sulphate calculation
- Material change history
- Comparative compressive strength testing
- Testing equipment calibration
- Reference equipment calibration
- Water cement ratio monitoring
